STEM Innovations with LEGOs Hosted by Play-Well TEKnologies Inc. Ages 7–12 Design, build, and innovate with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Kids will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through exciting, engineer-designed projects. Using an inquiry-based classroom model, students will collaborate, problem-solve, and bring their ideas to life. Projects rotate seasonally to ensure that even returning participants experience fresh challenges and new opportunities to grow their STEM skills. Happy Times with TIPS Tykes Indoor Playgroup & Social time Every Friday, unless noted on the calendar. 9:30 am- 11:30 a.m. No charge & open to all Here's a fun, safe indoor activity for your baby, toddler, or preschooler and you! A chance to meet and socialize with local parents and caregivers. You can BRING YOUR OWN bike/trike/walker etc. Yes! There is plenty of room for your child to safely scoot around. There will also be a small collection of sanitized toys, and creative play items on hand. Packaged snacks are allowed and we will even play happy music on the stereo! With plenty of smooth wooden floors to enjoy and explore, imagine how far your kids will go, the fun that will be had, and the special company shared! The safety of all Community Center users and visitors is a top priority and we follow State & CDC guidelines to ensure it. Caregivers must wear a mask as well as children 3 years old and above. Glowin' Ghouls and Goblins Halloween Bash! Join us on October 24th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for an epic Halloween finale like no other! In collaboration with the Litchfield Historical Society, we’re throwing a spooktacular bash in the scarecrow fields at the Tapping Reeve Meadow. This event is FREE and open to all ghouls and goblins Grades 4-5. Make sure to dress in your best costume because we're ending Halloween in style! Toast & Co is donating 10 - $10 gift cards for the costume contests. Glow Games Trip – Grades 5-8 Spend your day off school with the Litchfield Community Center for an action-packed Glow Games adventure. Date & Time: Tuesday, November 4, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Grades: 5–8 Cost: $30 per person The day begins with breakfast at the Community Center before heading to Sparetime in Bristol for an exciting lineup of activities, including: 2 games of laser Tag 1 round of Bowling Mcdonalds on the way back This is a great chance to enjoy a full day of fun and games with friends in a safe and supervised setting. Jumpz Trampoline Park Trip – Grades 4-6 The Litchfield Community Center is hosting an exciting half-day adventure for students in grades 3-5. On Wednesday, November 6th, students will travel to Jumpz Trampoline Park in Danbury, CT for an afternoon of fun and activity. Date & Time: November 6, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM Cost: $32 per person The trip includes: 2 hours of jump time A ride on one of Jumpz’s virtual roller coasters This trip will be led by our coordinator, Noah, and will also include a stop at Thrillz Adventure Park for even more excitement. Friday Fun Day Series for Grades 6-8 $5 Donation Dates & Time: Select Fridays (6-9pm) Kick off the weekend with excitement at our Friday Fun Day series for grades 6-8! This event is all about having fun and unwinding after a long week of school. We've got a fantastic lineup of activities including pool, ping pong, Nintendo Switch games, and much more! Join us Select Fridays. If your child wants to grab additional snacks, they can bring some extra cash. Fossil Finders at the Litchfield Community Center Date: November 8th Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Cost: $30 per child Ages: 5–10 Start the morning with fun, dinosaur-themed games led by our Youth Coordinator, Noah. Then, join renowned SFX Artist Tyler Green for an unforgettable hands-on experience. Children will learn about special effects and create their very own fossil casts using real specimens, in partnership with the Elevation Science Institute. Skill Seekers (Grades 4–5) Tuesdays, November 13 – December 18 Time: 4:00-6:00 Litchfield Community Center Join us for Skill Seekers, a fun and interactive after-school program designed just for 1st-3rd graders! Each week, kids will explore hands-on activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
