Visit Wendy @ Yoga With Wendy Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays. A yoga class conducted in a casual, practical, fun atmosphere. Students are encouraged to breathe and stretch to their potential that day. Modifications are always offered. Suitable for people who are beginners to experienced in a yoga practice.
Functional Strengthening will improve overall functional capacity and quality of life- improving your ability to perform daily activities such as lifting, carrying, reaching, movement, and everyday tasks. Come and push, pull, hinge, bend, lunge, squat, rotate and lift with us! We will use dumbbells and resistance bands. Keep those muscles functioning as they were designed to. Class is covered by Silversneakers and Renew Active insurance but anyone is welcome to attend this class. If insurance will not be available a donation is welcomed. The class will be 45 minutes in duration. Wear appropriate clothes for exercise, please. Instructor Janice Connor will be instructing the group. Janice has been a Group exercise and a Spin instructor for many years and has taught Silversneakers for over ten years. However, she finds the challenges of compound movements and using dumbbells her favorite. Janice has attended exercise classes for decades as her Mother, Ann, began teaching fitness and movement in the 1950’s in the U.K.
Class Description: 30-minute chair exercise after a brief warm-up. You will use hand weights and assistance bands and incorporate moves/stretches' ideal for those who prefer to sit during a class! SilverSneakers can help seniors live their best lives. Participants may experience greater energy, increased strength and improved balance and flexibility. The benefit is included in 60+ Medicare plans. This Modified Silver Sneakers class which includes chairs, hand weights, tubing and balls. Kids Bowling Night Looking for a chance to celebrate Valentine's Day with your significant other? Let us take care of the kids!
