Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida is a tragic, grand opera set in Ancient Egypt. It tells the story of Aida, an Ethiopian princess held captive as a slave, who falls in love with the Egyptian military commander Radamès. Their romance is torn apart by war and a jealous love triangle with the Egyptian princess Amneris.
