The New England Air Museum is home to more than 100 historic aircraft and three large exhibit hangars. During our visit, we will explore the museum’s remarkable collection and learn about the people, technology, and innovation that shaped aviation and aerospace history. The museum’s exhibits include aircraft ranging from early flying machines to supersonic jets, along with fascinating stories of New England’s contributions to flight.

Our visit will include the museum’s featured exhibits and displays, including:
Pratt & Whitney Innovators — Explore the history and technological achievements of one of New England’s most important aerospace companies. The museum is currently highlighting this new exhibit as one of its featured attractions.
Through the Eyes of Igor Sikorsky — Discover the life, vision, innovations, and lasting legacy of aviation pioneer Igor Sikorsky, whose work helped transform the development of helicopters and aviation.
Tuskegee Airmen: Their Untold Stories — Hear the personal stories of the pioneering African American pilots and their families, presented through artifacts and first-hand family histories.
New England Women in Aviation — Learn about women who broke barriers, set aviation records, and made significant contributions to aviation and aerospace. The museum is expanding this exhibit during 2026, with additional stories and programming being developed.
Silent Wings and other aircraft and aviation displays throughout the museum’s three exhibit hangars.
The museum’s exhibits are designed to be accessible, with large walkways, most exhibits located on the first floor, and wheelchair-accessible elevators serving the mezzanines. Wheelchairs are also available to check out at the admissions counter, subject to availability.
Lunch at Skyline Restaurant
After our museum visit, we will head to in Windsor Locks for lunch.
We will enjoy reserved seating on the indoor patio, with views of the activity at nearby Bradley International Airport. Skyline offers a varied menu featuring Italian and American favorites, seafood, steaks, and prime rib.
Lunch is not included in the $35 trip fee. Each guest will be responsible for purchasing their own lunch and beverages.
