Wear comfortable clothing. Bare feet, sneakers or soft shoes are all welcome. Chairs will be used for support and stability.
Andrea Lake Meharg is a holistic movement educator dedicated to helping individuals explore balance, ease, and connection through mindful, embodied movement. A certified Pilolbous Connecting with Balance® Instructor, Andrea is also a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200), and currently completing the 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training program at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health.
Andrea’s teaching is informed by her ongoing exploration of movement, mindfulness & presence, both in the studio and in everyday life. Her integrative approach draws from Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Alexander Technique, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), woven into accessible and inclusive practices. Trained in ballet in her youth, Andrea continues to study dance at The Nutmeg Ballet in Torrington, CT, the Alvin Ailey Extension in New York City, and with a contemporary Cunningham-based group in Provincetown, MA. She is grateful for many opportunities to explore movement and dance as an adult and recent grandmother, and is thrilled to share Pilobolous Connecting with Balance® with the community.
