Meet our Staff

Berta-2025

Berta Andrulis Mette Executive Director

Berta has served as Executive Director of the Litchfield Community Center since 2000, and prior to this was involved in the creation of our founding non-profit organization and the construction of the facilities, while serving as President of the Board of Directors of Meetinghouse, Inc. Berta is also involved in many volunteer activities and is a member of several local organization’s Board of Directors. These commitments magnify her heartfelt intention to make our community and Northwest CT welcoming and beneficial for all. She also enjoys a variety of other fun pursuits including; gardening, travel, attending theater and musical programs, participating in running events, cheering for the Red Sox, walking in the woods, loving her dog, all things saltwater and photography. Berta’s greatest joy is spending time with her great family and wonderful friends, while sharing in the enjoyment of all that life and her faith offers. She is grateful for the many ways the Community Center and its patrons have enriched her life!

Cheryl Mendez Administrative Assistant

Cheryl lived in Litchfield for about 25 years, raising 2 children: daughter Isabella and son Alex. She was employed at the Litchfield Community Center for close to 18 years and after retiring in June 2023, she moved to the Orlando area of FL to be closer to at least one of her two children (and being a huge Disney fan was a big plus). With her familiarity of LCC operations and valuable computer skills, she now works part-time remotely for our organization. Cheryl is grateful to still be a part of LCC and staying in touch with the staff and even some of the LCC regular visitors!

Noah-Weik-2025

Noah Weik Program & Activities Coordinator for Youth, Teens & Family

Noah Weik graduated from Rhode Island College in 2024 with a degree in Secondary Education. He brings valuable experience in educational leadership, program management, staff supervision, and program implementation. During his time at RIC, Noah worked in various inner-city schools, developed programs for new students as an Admissions Ambassador, and served as Program Director at a popular local summer camp. Outside his professional endeavors, Noah enjoys playing golf, engaging in health and fitness activities, and watching sports with friends. Noah is thrilled to be part of such a remarkable organization and is eager to make a positive impact on the community. The Center can count on his dedication and enthusiasm as he contributes to its mission and goals. Feel free to reach out to Noah at The Center anytime!

Erin-Vazquez-2025

Erin Vasquez Program & Activities Coordinator for Adults & Family

Erin is the Program & Activity Coordinator for Adults and Family, with a personal mission to create opportunities that support a high quality of life for everyone that walks into The Center. Erin brings with her over a decade experience in supporting academic success for students with special needs and immigrant families within the West Hartford and New Britain schools and communities, as well as coaching children in music, theater, and dance arts through after-school programs and studios. Erin enjoys crafting, Tiny Houses and sustainable living, powwows, singing around campfires with her acoustic guitar, and collaborating in songwriting and audio production for music in TV & film. You might also find her slinging tacos with her family at the front window of her own Food Truck, “La Guera” or even busting out Cumbia dance moves while waiting in line at a local Coffee Shop, especially where she resides, in Thomaston. She loves a good cup of coffee, day or night! Her greatest joys of all though, are her two sons, Eli and Remmy.

Jenn-Purdie-2025-

Jennifer Purdie Administrative & Program Assistant

Before joining the Community Center, Jenn was a seasoned professional with extensive experience in specialized loan servicing, having worked for several years at Wells Fargo. In addition to a background in financial services, Jenn has also worked in the manufacturing and telecommunications industries. She studied Public Health at Southern Connecticut State University. Outside of the Center, Jenn enjoys hiking with their pup, Draco, and embarking on adventure motorcycle rides with her husband, Lenny.

Rob-2025

Rob Andrulis Building & Property Maintenance

Prior to joining the Center staff, Rob was employed at Litchfield High School as a paraprofessional working with special needs students and prior to that, he ran a contracting business in Litchfield. Outside of the Center, he is the head coach of the boys’ soccer team at the Forman School in Litchfield. He is also an Regional Director of NO.1 Soccer Camps with sites across the country and serves as The Vice President of the CT Soccer Coaches Association and also serves as the Vice President on the Board Of Directors of the United Soccer Coaches Association.Rob oversees the Awards programs as The Awards Council Chair for the association and 72 National Chairs that hands out over 11,000 awards annualy.Rob resides in Northfield with his wife Clare, and daughter Madeleine.His Son Keegan works and lives in Boston His oldest daughter Katie and his three granddaughters reside in Watertown CT. Rob’s hobbies include cooking, spending time with family, coaching young student athletes and playing golf.

Quinn-Stickney-2025

Quinn Stickney Program & Activity Assistant

Quinn Stickney is the Student Assistant at the Community Center. Quinn lives in Litchfield with her mother, father and three cats. She attends Lakeview High School where she is a member of the Cross Country team, the Technology Student Association, Student Council, National Honor Society and Book Club. She is an Associate Editor for the Region 20 Review and a writer for the Litchfield BZ. Her dream is to one day attend law school and become a lawyer.
