Roots of Wonder Gardening Program (Ages 5-8)

Roots of Wonder Garden Sessions is a hands-on gardening program designed for children ages 5–8 at the Litchfield Community Gardens. Through weekly outdoor sessions, kids will explore how food grows while learning basic gardening skills such as planting, watering, harvesting, and caring for plants.

Participants will work together in the garden, discovering where their food comes from and gaining an appreciation for nature through engaging, interactive activities. The program encourages curiosity, teamwork, and a connection to the natural world.

Sessions run from May 6 to July 29. From May 6 through June 24, the program meets on Wednesdays from 4:00–6:00 PM. Beginning June 27, the time shifts to 9:00–11:00 AM.

Sessions will Be Held on Saturday, June 24th, Saturday, July 11th, and July 25th

The cost for the full session is $300.

This drop-off program takes place at the Litchfield Community Gardens. Children will spend time planting, tending garden beds, and learning through hands-on experiences in a welcoming outdoor environment.
