Day Trip: DIA Beacon Art Museum

Join us for a trip to the DIA Beacon. It is the museum for the Dia Art Foundation's collection of contemporary art from the 1960s to the present and is one of the 12 locations and sites they manage. The museum, which opened in 2003, is situated near the banks of the Hudson River in Beacon, New York.


The bookshop is open from 10 am to 4 pm, Friday through Monday. The bookshop offers Dia publications; artists’ monographs; exhibition catalogues; publications on architecture, design, and writing; children’s books; regional titles; and periodicals. Dia publications are available at Dia Beacon's bookshop and online.

The cafe is open from 9:45 am to 3:45 pm, Friday through Monday. Operated by Mountain Provisions, the cafe offers a seasonal menu, house-made soups, salads, and sandwiches, as well as local pastries, coffee, and espresso drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
