Join LCC for a delightful excursion to Thornecrest Farm, where you’ll have the chance to meet the charming dairy cows and experience the tranquil ambiance of their one of a kind zen barn. Afterward, we’ll browse the delectable offerings at the Milk House Chocolate Shop.

Following this, we’ll venture to the picturesque Sunset Meadow Vineyards for a guided wine tasting, reveling in good company and a splendid afternoon amidst breathtaking fall views. Don’t forget to bring along your own delicious bagged lunch or charcuterie picnic to complete this memorable experience.

We'll powwow on over to the Institute of American Indian Studies in Washington. Choose a leisurely nature trail, marked with medicinal plants & trees, leading to the replicated Algonkian village followed by a Guided Museum tour and gift shop. We'll then head over to White Horse Country Pub & Restaurant for lunch on your own.

Let nostalgia and New England traditions intertwine with scenic Fall landscapes. We'll relive the past through hidden treasures at Antiques on the Farmington in the old Collinsville Axe Mill Factory. Lunch is on your own at Crown & Hammer or LaSalle's Market, both just a stroll away, and on the journey back, immerse yourself in the delights of Hogan's Cider Mill, offering seasonal local goods, free mini-golf, and the irresistible allure of Sweet (or Spiked!) Ciders, Craft Brews, and fresh baked Apple Cider donuts!

Step into the world of Eric Sloane, renowned Connecticut artist and author of 38 books. View his paintings, illustrations, and an extensive collection of early American hand tools, a tribute to American artisanship. Experience the Noah Blake Cabin, a recreation of an early 19th-century dwelling from his most famous book, Diary of an Early American Boy. Explore the museum’s scenic grounds near the Housatonic River, where you can also see the ruins of the Kent Iron Furnace and picturesque walking trails. We'll lunch on our own at the Washington Tavern est. 1850 then find some good reads at the charming Hickory Stick Book Shop

We've been invited to Peter Greenwood's Glass Blowing Studio and Gallery in Riverton where we will learn the history, technique, and process of glass blowing as he creates a masterpiece before our very eyes! Lunch is on your own at the Main Street Deli across the street.

'Tis the season to do some holiday shopping & dining at West Farms Mall after a self-guided tour at the Museum of Connecticut History.
