TENT TALK: A SERIES OF INFORMATIVE, EDUCATIONAL TALKS BY PROFESSIONALS ~
If you have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, smoke tobacco, are over age 55, have family history or take certain medications, you may be at risk for a stroke. Also known as a “brain attack,†a stroke occurs when a blood vessel carrying blood and oxygen ruptures or is blocked by a blood clot, halting the supply of vital nutrients to the brain. This no-cost, community benefit lecture will provide important information on the leading cause of serious, long-term disability in America and provide guidance on how you can help keep your brain healthy.
Speaker Melissa Braislin is Sharon Hospital’s stroke coordinator, director of cardiology and a speech pathologist who oversees rehabilitation services at the hospital.
NOTE: All programs will take place under our huge tent in the parking lot. Your safety is our main concert so we will be following proper guidelines. If it rains, all programs will be cancelled.
See other "Tent Talk" on July 7, July 9 and July 30
