DESCRIPTION:“The Poets Among Us” \nAn Evening of Poetry and Music \n  \nThe Litchfield Arts Council is teaming up with the Litchfield Community Center to host an event celebrating National Poetry Month. \nThere will be a poetry showcase on Thursday\, April 30\, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Litchfield Community Center at 421 Bantam Road\, Litchfield. \nThe event will feature four Connecticut poets:  Michael Chief Peterson\, poet laureate of New Britain; Nadia Sims\, poet laureate of Manchester; artist and poet Steven Parlato of Middlebury; and poet and photographer Jo-Ann Iannotti of Litchfield. Margaret Hunt of Litchfield will emcee the event.
