Intent: to introduce the majority of modern conventions to the beginner duplicate bridge player. The course will be divided into two parts - the must have conventions and then, time permitting, intermediate conventions. 

Part I: Review of "natural" standard bidding , (SAYC - Standard American Yellow Card), Filling in your convention card

Part II Beginners: Stayman over No Trump, Jacoby Transfers over No Trump, Gerber No Trump, Blackwood Suit Slam Bidding, Strong Two Club opening, Weak two opening,
Takeout Double, Standard Carding

Part III Intermediate: Negative Doubles, Texas Transfers over No Trump, Limit Raises, Jacoby 2NT, Splinter Bids, Roman Keycard Blackwood, Control Cue bid, Michaels/Gestehm Cue Bid, Defense Over No Trump (DONT)

Each lesson will be accompanied by a handout. The first 1½ hrs will be instruction and the last ½ hr will be exercises and samples.
